MISS MICHELLE

Michelle has been training as a dancer for 16 years and has been teaching dance for 8 years. She
appreciates the opportunity teaching brings to share her love and passion of dance to students.
Michelle is currently dancing full time at Village Nation Performing Arts where she will gain her
Certificate IV in Dance and the Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management. Here she is
training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Tap, Musical Theatre, Lyrical,
Ballroom, Singing and Acting. She is training closely with influential leaders in the industry such as
Jacquie Howard, Simone Sault, Nathan Wright, Karina Hernandez, Dein Perry, Angelique Cassimatis,
Sophie Holloway, Blake John Wood, Lauren Eltonn, Stephen Tannos, Jarryd Byrne, Robbie Kmetoni,
Andrew Bevis and Nigel Turner-Carroll.

She has completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance where
she gained her Registered Teacher Status. In 2021, Michelle completed her Bachelor of Exercise and
Sports Science degree with The University of Newcastle and graduated with a Distinction. She is now
continuing her studies by working on her Honours research project, regarding the biomechanics of
dancers in relation to correct dance training and injury prevention/management. From her studies,
Michelle intentionally aims to ensure students of all abilities can engage in safe dance practice while
supporting them to achieve their potential in an engaging environment. 
Michelle performed for Youth In Performing Arts (YIPA) in 2016 with a self-choreographed
contemporary duo, which is where her love for choreographing began. In 2019, she performed for
Coast Arts Spectacular in a classical ballet duo. She also performed in the Dream Dance Experience
Sydney show in 2020 which was directed by Marko Panzic. In 2022, Michelle performed as a
featured dancer in Light the Way Dance Convection with a tribute to David Atkins performing to
‘Dancing Man’ as well as a triple threat performance to ‘New York’ by Nathan Wright, Andrew Bevis,
Simone Sault, Lisa Graham-Wilson, Briden Starr and Jacquie Howard. In 2022, Michelle also had the
opportunity to attend a choreographic workshop directed by Simone Sault for Phantom of the
Opera.

Michelle is excited to be a teacher a JB Dance to share her love, knowledge and passion to her
students.
