MISS MICHELLE

Michelle Briggs is a registered Royal Academy of Dance teacher, graduating with her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies. She also holds her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management.

Michelle graduated full-time dance at Village Nation Performing Arts. She has worked professionally in a number of events; dancing for Delta Goodrem in “Christmas with Delta”, performing for Baker Boy at the “Allianz Stadium Grand Opening” and was a featured performer at “Sydney’s longest lunch” for the Guinness world record. While growing up on the Central Coast, Michelle performed in local events including Youth in Performing arts (YIPA) and Coast Arts Spectacular.

When Michelle is not at the dance studio, she is teaching Biomechanic labs for students at the University of Newcastle and is currently researching about dance science. She graduated her Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree with distinction and is continuing her studies to investigate optimal training strategies for dancers for her Honours project.

From her studies, Michelle intentionally aims to ensure students of all abilities can engage in safe dance practice while supporting them to achieve their potential based off scientific knowledge. She appreciates the opportunity teaching brings to share her love, knowledge and passion of ballet to each individual student.
